Loose change, spare change, pocket change, keep the change and bring on the currency — creating change! How can you help to create real life change with your spare nickels, dimes and dollars? Alpha Pregnancy Counseling and Support announces its 7th Annual Change for Life fundraiser in 2008.
Between Mother’s Day and Father’s Day, Alpha’s Change for Life baby bottles will be out and about in San Luis Obispo County. Churches, businesses, restaurants and individuals have been responsible for raising approximately $20,000 annually. You can get your bottle at Alpha's business office, or contribute to one of the many bottles throughout the community.
Change for Life traditionally funds 20% of client services according to Ingrid Pires, Alpha’s Executive Director. “We appreciate your spare change, and we also appreciate larger donations in our bottles to help keep our compassionate services free of charge. Your efforts truly make a difference!”
Donations from Change for Life baby bottles help fund free pregnancy testing; caring non-judgmental counseling and referrals; prenatal vitamins; new and gently used maternity clothes; newborn layettes; emergency supplies of formula and diapers; infant clothing, supplies and furniture; and rental deposits for the growing family.
